The founder, Alex, was an experienced sushi chef who had worked in some of the most prestigious sushi restaurants in North County. You might remember him from back in the day for his delicious and colorful rolls handcrafted at Zenbu. After many years of working in traditional sushi restaurants, Alex decided to start his own business and bring his unique style of sushi directly to the people. The Name Stoked On Sushi.
The name, Stoked On Sushi, came about in an unexpected way. One day, a customer approached Alex after trying his sushi for the first time. The customer was so impressed with the quality and taste of the sushi that he exclaimed, “I’m so stoked on this sushi!” Alex was taken aback by the customer’s enthusiasm, and he knew he had found the perfect name for his business.

From that moment on, Stoked On Sushi became known for its exceptional sushi and its friendly and inviting atmosphere. Alex and his team took great pride in using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients to create their unique sushi rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. They also work hard to make sure that each customer feels welcome and appreciated, whether they were a first-time visitor or a regular.
