Stoked On Sushi started as a small pop-up catering company in the heart of Cardiff by the Sea, CA. The founder, Alex, was an experienced sushi chef who had worked in some of the most prestigious sushi restaurants in North County. The name, Stoked On Sushi, came about in an unexpected way. One day, a customer approached Alex after trying his sushi for the first time. The customer was so impressed with the quality and taste of the sushi that he exclaimed, “I’m so stoked on this sushi!” Alex was taken aback by the customer’s enthusiasm, and he knew he had found the perfect name for his business.
